Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May where we are preparing for the retirement of some Stampin' Up! products. Though it may be goodbye to some very loved supplies, it will make room for the much anticipated new catalog products. We hope you enjoy the Pals' creative projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Michelle Gleeson at Stampin Mojo, number 24 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
The 2014-2015 Annual Catalog and the 2015 Occasions Catalog reach the end of the line on June 2nd. It has been a fabulous run because they are full of great product. The good news is that many of your favorites will be staying around for another year (Butterfly Basics and Crazy about You). But many items are on the retiring list. I am especially sad to see the Painted Petals stamp set and the Painted Blooms DSP will not be staying around. They are two of my FAVORITES. The stamp set is versatile because it contains a combination of images and sentiments, always a win-win. If you have not ordered this set and the coordinating DSP yet, don't miss out. Go to my online store HERE.
At stamp club this month, we made the cutest bags using the Painted Blooms DSP in a variety of patterns. Here are a few.
I added 4 coordinating 3" X 3" cards. These will make the perfect gift for someone special.
Spring Purse
DSP 3 ½” X 12” sheet for purse base. Use sticking strip on the left side (3 ½”) and along the bottome
Coordinating Cardstock 2 ½” X 5 ¼” Scored at ½” on all 4 sides. Cut in on the end and use Tombow Monoglue to form the box bottom.
Coordinating cardstock or DSP 3 – ½” X 12” strips for the top and the bottom edges of the purse. Use Tombow Monoglue to attach a strip at the bottom and top of the purse.
Coordinating Cardstock 4 -- 3/8” X 11” or 12” strips for the handles. Add the handles using sticky strip or Tombow Monoglue.
4 coordinating brads to attach the handles. Use the 1/16” punch to put a hole through the handle and the purse. Then add the brads.
Glue the remaining ½” X 12” strip to the top inside of the purse.
