Stampin' Pretty Guest Stamper - Watercolor Wings

Happy Sunday!
I hope all is well with  you and yours.  Kansas is  experiencing hot and humid days.  At this time of year, the heat is expected but not so much humidity.  Ugh.  So I am spending the day inside working on my swaps for convention, which starts on Thursday.  I can't wait!  It is always exciting to learn new techniques, see new products, and spend time with friends, both old and new.  I am so excited about
getting a sneak peek at the 2015 Holiday Catalog.  I am expecting great new products for the holidays. As a convention participant, I will be able to place an order before the pre-order period starts on August 1st.  So exciting!

Beginning in November, Stampin' Up events will change to a new format.  So I believe this convention will be extra special with a few surprises.

Today, I am honored to be a guest stamper for my upline, Mary Fish.  Mary is such an inspiration and always so generous to her team.

My projects feature several products from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.  I used the Watercolor Wings stamp set and thinlits.  This set is just gorgeous and coordinates with the Butterfly Basics bundle which was introduced in the Occasions Catalog this past spring.  I am using the color combination of Soft Sky, Mint Macaron, and Tip Top Taupe.  But the possibilities are endless.

For my featured cards the layout is the same but the background texture differs.  One uses the brand NEW Brick Wall and the other the NEW Fluttering Texture folder.  Both folders measure 6" x 6", which is large enough to use in either direction, horizontal or vertical.  Which is your favorite?

Brick Wall

I used a sponge to add Sahara Sand and Tip Tip Taupe to the bricks.  Just image how you can use this folder on your Christmas projects.

Fluttering
The butterflies on the texture folder are different sizes, which adds a lot of interest.  The perfect background for butterfly and floral images.

The "hello" and "thanks" sentiments are from the new Greetings Thinlits.  They are quickly becoming one of my go-to items.

If you have come from Stampin' Pretty, thanks for visiting and I hope you visit again soon.

  4. Great cards, Sherrie. I love how you sponged the bricks for more texture. I'll have to remember that technique. I love butterflies and how you have used them in your designs. Congrats on being the guest designed for Mary Fish.

  6. Both of your cards are beautiful Sherrie. I'm partial to the brick wall one though. Just something about it being more weathered looking that really appeals. I'm looking forward to getting my embossing folder which is currently on back order. Seeing your lovely card makes me want it more! Have a great stamping day!
