Here is one of the cards I featured at the Stamp-a-Stack in May. I cased this card from another demonstrator on Pinterest. I have searched and searched for my original pin but it must be buried deep. I have to confess, I have thousands of ideas pinned to my boards.
The original card used Designer Series Paper for the card front. I decided to use the Brushstrokes Background stamp with Sahara Sand. It is a great neutral. I love to use it instead of Crumb Cake. You probably noticed the uneven stamping of the background. Just a "happy" accident! I sponged a bit of Sahara Sand and Early Expresso around the edges to give it a vintage feel. The "Happy Birthday" is from a retired set but don't worry you can substitute any sentiment.
The cute little bear from Bear Hugs, a returning set from the Occasions Catalog, was stamped on Whisper White in Early Expresso. I used the coordinating framelits to crop him out. I added Blushing Bride to the ears and a bit of Sahara Sand to his coat with a water color brush. The hearts were punched using the Confetti Hearts Border in Real Red. So cute and simple.
It was a "hit" with my stampin' friends at my monthly Stamp-a-Stack. What is a Stamp-a-Stack?
Well, the 3rd Wednesday of every month we meet at a local Donut Shop to make 6 different cards. I prepare the samples and kits. You just come, enjoy time with friends and go home with 6 completed cards, including envelopes, for only $15. We have a great time. If you would like more details, leave a comment on my blog or send me an email at SherrieGross@gmail.com. I would love to have you join us on Wednesday, June 15th from 6pm to 8pm.
We will be using loads of new products from the Annual Catalog. I got a BIG order this week and can't wait to share new projects with you.
