Too Cool for School Pals Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August.  This month we are showing off our favorite crafting tools – those Stampin’ Up! tools that we just can’t live without.  We hope you enjoy our projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Tricia Chuba at ButterDish Designs, number 11 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Bags, boxes, envelopes, and more!  A tool that does it all.  Of all the punch boards on the market this is the most versatile.  With the holiday season just around the corner, it is a must have.

Check out my project made using the Gift Bag Punch Board. Scroll down through my posts and you will see the bags, triangle boxes and even an envelope all made using this tool.

I have run across several variations on the this theme--Santa coming down the chimney.  With the introduction of the Brick Texture, it was the right time for my version.

Here are a few of the details.

  • The bag is made from Crumb Cake cardstock, 7" x 11" using the Medium Bag instructions.
  • The "brick" texture was added to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I used our round sponge to add Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobble and a bit of Soft Suede to make the chimney.
  • The Holiday Catalog sneak peek "Celebrate the Season" sentiment  can be found in the Happy Scenes stamp set.  It was heat embossed in White.
  • Santa's bag was punched with the owl punch.  Two Whisper White "clouds" using the Tree Builder punch form the pile of snow under the bag.
  • Santa's shoes were made with the Sweetheart punch. A bit of White Craft ink was used to add highlights.
  • Check out the 1/8" Red Striped Ribbon.  Another sneak peek!

I hope you enjoyed my project.  Check back again soon for more Gift Bag ideas.  Now it is time to move down the hop.  Don't miss a single stop!  This is a very talented group.

The next stop is Kalyn Shubnell at The Stampin Chronicals number 13 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!
