Stamp Club Project #2

Our second project for the February stamp club is this cute little gift bag.  I case'd this project from Michelle Surette.  Wouldn't this be a great gift bag for a baby shower? I trimmed the bag to 6" and added the clouds with the Cloudy Day texture folder.  The patterned paper from Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP is the perfect background for the whale.

 Recipe
Stamp Set: Oh, Whale! and Rain or Shine
Paper: Sunshine and Sprinkle DSP, Whisper White, and Marino Mist.
Ink:  Melon Mambo, Marina Mist.
Tools:  Happy Whale Clearlits Die, Cloudy Day Texture Folder
3/8" Melon Mambo Striped Organdy Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Small Heart Punch.

Oh Whale!

I found the pattern for this sweet little favor box on another demonstrator's blog.  I did change the size slightly to make it easier to measure.  Four can be made from a single sheet of 8 1/2" X 11 cardstock.  Cut into four 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" pieces.  Score the 4 1/4" side at 3/4" and 3 1/2".  Then score the 5 1/2" side at 2 3/8" and 3 1/8".  You will need to cut on the score line(the long one) on each side.  Be sure to use Sticky Strip to put it together.

The Sunshine and Sprinkles Designer Series Paper is perfect because the colors are so bright and cherry.  Here are a couple more using different patterns of the DSP.  Just add the sentiment of your choosing.

Stamp Club Project #1

The first project for February's Stamp Club is a CASE of a card from Mary Fish.  It pairs the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set and the Sycamore Street DSP which are both available "free" with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration.  The brand new Designer Builder Brad is from the Spring Catalog.  They are so easy to use and very pretty.
The Feeling Sentimental stamps have a vintage feel and are so detailed.

Owl Treat Holder

When I found these treat holders on Becky Robert's blog, Inking Idaho, I thought they were so cute.  The original idea is from Chiaki Haverstick.  They will hold a small candy bar or a gift card.  The Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper has the perfect patterns to make a whole bunch of owl treat holders.

Did you know that a group of owls is called a "parliament".  Aren't they cute?

Hello Bloomin' Marvelous

Just a quick post today.  This card was made using products from the Spring catalog and the Sale-a-bration promotion. The Whisper White piece was stamped using the Bloomin' Marvelous stamps and then embossed with the Honeycomb texture folder.  The Oh, Hello sentiment was stamped over the chevron pattern and cut out with a label framelit.  The Calyso Coral ribbon adds just the right touch to set off the sentiment.  Calypso Coral and Pool Party are the perfect combination for spring card making.

Remember, the Sale-a-bration promotion is going on until March 22nd.  You can get the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set "free" with a $50 purchase.

Oh, Hello and Sycamore Street

If you have not gotten the Sycamore Street Designer Series paper available FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration, you are missing out!  This DSP features some of my favorite colors:  Pool Party, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit, and Rich Razzleberry.  It also looks great with Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake.  The paper designs are bright and cheery and fun to work with because they coordinate so well.

Today's card is very simple.

The card base is an 8 1/2" X 4 1/4" piece of Island Indigo.  The card front is 5 1/4" X 4" piece of Whisper White.  I use the dots patterned paper to cut two flags using the Hearts a Flutter framelit.  The 5 1/4" X 1 1/2" piece of Calypso Coral was run through the Big Shot in the Honeycomb texture folder.
The oval was stamped with the chevron background from Oh, Hello stamp set in Island Indigo.  I did sponge Island Indigo around the edges after I cut it out using the oval framelit.  The Oh, Hello sentiment was stamped with Black Stazon' ink.
The flower was stamped on Very Vanilla using Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.  I then cut it out - just fussy cut it leaving a little bit of the Very Vanilla showing on the edges.
