With Christmas just around the corner, I am madly finishing up projects, shopping and plans for the holiday.  Here is a card that features Santa and his sleigh.  Santa is a regular visitor at my house.  Even my adult children believe and spending time at the holidays with my grandchildren  is so much fun.  I hope you enjoy my card and don't miss out on the rest of the wonderful projects from the Pals. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Wicked Folds Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for October 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects feature cards made using “wicked” folds. What is a “wicked” fold? It is anything other than the standard A2 card fold. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

My card today features a Double Z fold.  I wanted to use the Santa's Sleigh bundle along with the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.  Don't forget this is one of the DSP packs that are on special in October.  Buy 3 Get One FREE!

Here is another view.  Such a fun way to display the sleigh and reindeers in this set.

One more view. The Cookie Cutter Santa was added at the last minute.  Isn't he cute?

The Real Red card base and 1" X 11" strip were scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".  The white panels measure 4" X 2 1/2".  The back DSP panel measures 4" X 5 1/4".
This was a fun card to make.  Christmas is just around the corner.

My Favorite Season Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects represent our favorite year end Season. It may be Autumn, Winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (and maybe even a combination!) We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

FALL is my favorite season!  I love everything about fall: the holidays, the cooler temperatures,  football season, and even the falling leaves.  Today, I want to share a card and a décor item that I made using NEW products from the Holiday catalog.

The Spook Fun and Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies were on my "got to have it" list from the start.  I believe the dies in this set will be used beyond the Halloween season.  Love the little tree and fence.

Let's start with the décor item.  I used one of Halloween Nights specialty papers to make a box frame.  These are super easy to make and there are several videos on YouTube with instructions.  It just takes a 12 " X 12" sheet of paper, a bit of scoring, and glue.  Once the frame and background were made I added elements from the stamp set to make a spooky scene.

Next I used a similar scene to make a matching Halloween card to send to one of my favorite ghosts and goblins.

August Pals Blog Hop - "Cut It Out"

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August 2016.  We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects using our favorite Stampin’ Up! cutting tools. There are so many wonderful punches, framelits and edgelits available that help make papercrafting more detailed and fun! We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Have your heard the news!  Stampin' Up! is offering a limited edition stamp set and matching thinlit set in August.  It  is perfect for all types of paper crafters: the newbie or the "got to have it all" because it can be used for any season or any reason.  The stamp set offers great images and the perfect sentiments for both the outside and inside of the card.  The thinlits expand just add to your crafting options.  If you  are making plans for your Christmas cards, this is your answer.  Need a card for the man in your life, this is the one.  Perfect for every occasion!

Here is my project for today.  I used two of the photo prints from the Serene Scenery paper stack.  They are just beautiful.

The Hydrangea was stamped in Calypso Coral ink on the coordinating card stock for a tone on tone look.  The matching thinlit line up for the perfect cut.  Just use the arrows to line up and then cut on your Big Shot.  The stem and leaf were cut from Old Olive card stock.  Add one of the sentiments from the stamp set and you are done.

It's a Pattern Party Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects using our favorite Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper as well as coordinating embellishments. What we love about Stampin’ Up! is they make it so easy to mix and match colors. And, the amazing selection of embellishments provides a wonderful finished look to our projects. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from Pam Sadler's blog # * on the Pals Blog Hop.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

This month we were asked to choose one of the new Designer Series Paper sets from the Annual Catalog.  Although it was very hard to choose just one, my choice for the hop is "Fruit Stand".  It is perfect for summer entertaining, gift giving and card making.

The colors are fresh and inviting: Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Cucumber Crush, Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight to name a few. The annual catalog feature a 2 page spread of the Fruit Stan Suite.  Love it!  The projects are fabulous and the photography is beautiful.  Check it out on page 148-149 of the catalog.

This suite was featured during the On Stage in April. Although, it is not my typical style it really caught my attention.  The stamped images have the feel of watercolor and I love the look. A hand painted look and the stamp does all the work.
Check out the cute "wooden" crates.  There are tutorials all over the internet.  They would make perfect favors for a summer bridal shower.

Here are a few more samples.  Something tells me I am just getting started.  This set will definitely be used for a card at an upcoming Stamp A Stack. You can see a bit of the shading on the pears and the peaches.

Not that crazy about fruit, don't worry you will still love this set.  The possibilities are endless.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don't miss out on Karen's project. It is sure to inspire.  We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Blog Hop Line-up.  Don't miss a single one, this is one talented group.  I love being a part of the Pals community.
