My card uses multiple products from the Occasions Catalog, which are among my top picks for spring.  My favorite is the brand new Scallop Tag Punch.  You can make a tag of any length by cutting cardstock just under 2" wide by your desired size and punching one end of the strip.   The Perfect Pennants stamp set has great sentiments.  I used the Fresh Prints DSP stack.  I love the colors and prints in the stack--this card features Real Red and Coastal Cabana.

Don't you just love the sound of the word FREE?  It is even better when a free item is something you can really use.  Check out the darling Decorative Dots texture used on this card.  This is a great addition to our texture folder selection.  The Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper features Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, and Whisper White. Pals Swap for Leadership 2014

Hello from Houston!  It has been a while but I am re-energized and you will be hearing from me regularly in the coming days.  I am spending a few days with my friend, Rhonda, before returning to the cold weather in Kansas.


I had a great time at Stampin' Up Leadership 2014.  I am so proud to be associated with Stampin' Up.  They strive to be innovative, are responsive to the needs of their customers, and their products are the best!

Wednesday evening the Pals got together for a Sip and Swap at a venue in downtown Houston.  There was a lot of conversation, delicious food, gifts, and a swap with the Pals.  What could be better?  We were encouraged to use new product from the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-bration brochure. Here are pictures of my cards for swap.

The Modern Medley Designer Series Paper is the perfect background for the new products.  I used a card base of Basic Black.  The next layer was the 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Modern Medley.  Very Vanilla was layered over Real Red.  The row of little banners were made with the Banner Blast Stamp set or Banner punch from the Sale-a-brations brochure.  The sentiments from See You Later(Sale-a-brations) or Perfect Pennants(Occasions Catalog were stamped in Staz'On Black Ink..  Accents of Real Red ink, Red Glimmer paper, and Gold Baker's Twine(Occasions Catalog) were added. Stamp Club Project #1

After several weeks of fighting the flu and a lingering cough, I am back on track.  I hope to start posting projects again regularly.  If you are visiting, thanks for hanging in there with me.
Last week, my stamp clubs met and made two cute 3D projects.  They turned out so cute!

Today I am sharing pictures of a Rudolph Bag.  I originally found this idea on Pinterest, which was designed by Debbie Henderson at Debbie's Designs.  Here is my version.

The bag was created from a Crumb Cake envelope.  The antlers were made with the oak leaf from the Autumn Accents Bigz die.  Some of the girls added texture with the Perfect Polka Dots folder. The muzzle is an extra-wide oval punched from Soft Suede.  Early Expresso was added to the edges with a sponge dauber.  The eyes were made using the Small Oval punch and Whisper White cardstock and the 1/2" Circle punch and Basic Black.  Rudolph's red nose is a 1/2" Circle of Red Glimmer Paper.

One of the girls came up with the idea to add the antlers to the front of the bag.  Aren't they cute!

Welcome to this month's blog hop.  The Pals are a very talented group and I am thankful to among them.  I enjoy using Stampin' Up products in unique ways.  I hope you like my home décor project!

 

I used  Modge Podge to adhere a 3 1/2" X 5 3/4" piece of Eastern Elegance DSP to wooden block, which measures 6".  The wooden block was cut from a 2 X 4 and stained.  I used the Wonderfall Stamp Set and the Expression Thinlits to decorate the front of the block.  Easy Peasy!  It only took 15 minutes to complete.
