Thank you for joining us for the April Pals Blog Hop! To celebrate Earth Day, the April blog hop features new cards and projects that capture the essence of Earth Day through colors and images and/or use recycled or reused elements. We hope you are ready for some fun and creative ideas.
You should have just left stop number 2 on the Pals Hop - Katy McGloin at Just Fun Stamping. If so, you are in the right spot. If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations
I chose to use recycle items for my project today. Can you identify the recycled items? Hint: there are two items being used.
My favorite drink stop is the Sonic. I treat myself to a Diet Cherry Coke a couple of times a week. This past weekend I picked up several drinks and this great drink carrier. It was perfect for two reasons-it was a great item to decorate for the blog hop and secondly, it will be filled with items for t for my sister's wedding. My sister is getting married on Saturday and I have decided to fill the carrier with "Survival Kit" items for the wedding day. Survival Kit items include water and drink mixes, notepad, lotion, lip balm, emery board, travel toothbrush and toothpaste, mint gum, Tylenol, Tums, safety pins, and energy bars.
I used Cherry Cobbler, Early Expresso, and Crumb Cake to stamp the leaves and two flowers from the Secret Garden set. Early Edition DSP and Cherry Cobbler cardstock form the band around the box. They also hide the Sonic logo. Creative, aren't I?
Here is a close up of the tag, which was made with Apothecary Art and the Labels Framelits. There is a tag on the front and the back of the carrier.
Did you notice the paper shred inside the holder? It was made from the brown packing paper found inside every Stampin' Up order. I save the paper from every order and I am always on the lookout for ways to use it. I folded the paper into a stack and used the Tabletop Paper Cutter to cut several strips.
Here are the two water bottles I decorated using the new Spring Surprise stamp set - A Round Array.
