As a member of the Stampin' Pretty Pals, I participated in a preview of the Spring Catalog. It is so much fun to go through the catalog, identify favorite new products, and discuss ideas with such a talented group. When it came to the Swallowtail background stamp, I was not interested. It just didn't do much for me. Well, here is the rest of the story. . . .
As you have probably noticed there are hundreds of ideas on Pinterest and demonstrator blogs featuring the Swallowtail. I started to change my opinion and consider adding it to my Stampin' Up collection. One of my downline, Belinda had ordered it and case'd a card designed by Mary Fish using the Pool Party embossing powder. It was just stunning. The detail of the butterfly is just amazing. I was hooked and added it to my next order.
As you may have noticed, the theme for our Stamp Club projects in April was the butterfly.
Here is another card using the Swallowtail stamp!
The card base is an 8 1/2" x 11 piece of Crumb Cake, scored at 4 1/4". The Swallowtail was stamped in Staz'On Black Ink on a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper. Then More Mustard and Bravo Burgundy were sponged on the butterfly.

The colors of the butterfly are gorgeous. I didn't like the stamp when I first saw it either, but I have since seen so many pretty cards. tfs
